Introducing the New Villa la Sirena Blog

Outdoor Dining in Boca, Villa la Sirena

One of the greatest blessings of our Villa is its mystical ability to attract both younger and older audiences, families and solo travelers. While our younger readers might be rolling their eyes, we would like to introduce our new blog on behalf of our more senior readers. For me, who has roamed this earth for eight decades, a blog is this mysterious bit of writing that people are supposed to use to keep in the loop on all the happenings at the Villa.

For our much younger editor and SEO dude, Ty, a blog is a complex scattering of keywords used to boost our website in the eyes of the Google algorithm. Truthfully, we hope to strike a balance between the two worlds, allowing us to expand our Villa’s reach and also provide an interactive space for our loyal visitors to stay updated.

This blog will be a page on our new website, villalasirena.net and it will have an interactive section for readers to leave comments.  Those in our close network have advised me this is what we should do. It’s our intent to gather more viewers to our website – we are going to at least try.

Why a Blog?

There’s a couple reasons to add a blog to our new website (by the way, we’re hoping you all will give us input on the new site). Primarily, it will help us reach new guests that desire more than the typical resort property.  We would like to offer an alternative to the typical Puerto Vallarta type resort atmosphere, which can be a captive enclave keeping you around their pool or beach, plus having you dining and drinking their pricey selections. The guests that get sucked into this narrative spend a trip pretty void of real Mexico culture and vibe. Puerto Vallarta has many unique and fun spots but can be a bit heavy on the tourist side for those desiring a different atmosphere.

That is why we chose to place our trust into the community of Boca de Tomatlan. Quaint, undeveloped, yet strikingly beautiful, this town is the perfect option for those craving luxury with just the right bit of local uncharted culture. While the Villa can surely be your headquarters while on vacation, we want to use this blog to offer alternative activities and day trips outside of Boca for you to explore.

At Villa La Sirena, we're not just about offering a place to stay; we're about creating an experience that lingers in your memory long after your visit. To continue delivering the exceptional service and attention to detail that sets us apart, we're trying to gain even more visitors and thus, decided to launch our blog.

While our monthly newsletter was intended to help build a community around Villa La Sirena, we realized that we needed something more dynamic and engaging. That's where the blog comes in. With more frequent posts—three to four times a month—we hope to foster better communication and share more of the behind-the-scenes magic that makes our Villa and its surroundings unique.

What to Expect from Our Blog

When Brittany and I first purchased Villa La Sirena, our vision was clear: to invest in a location free from the usual tourist hustle, a place that resonated with those stuck between a hostel and a five-star resort. The Villa is to be a haven of understated luxury, where guests could find peace and experience the authentic beauty of Boca.

The Villa La Sirena blog will be a labor of love and unlike other sites, is managed by our team who live and breathe Boca. Expect to find deep-cut stories about lesser-known local customs, quirky trivia, and off-the-wall topics like the legendary "El Pajarete"- the only way to start a true Mexican morning.

One of the features we’re particularly excited about is showcasing the subtle touches that make your stay at Villa La Sirena extraordinary. Take our morning coffee and Pan Dulce service, for example. It's a small gesture, but one that reflects the care and thought we put into every aspect of your experience.
